Emergency FAQs
What should I do if my RCD keeps tripping?
Unplug all appliances in the house and try to reset the RCD. If it stays on, plug the appliances back in one by one until it trips again — you've found the faulty appliance. If it still won't reset with everything unplugged, you need an emergency electrician to find the wiring fault.
Are you a 24/7 emergency electrician?
We do not claim to be 24/7. We offer same-day rapid response when our engineers have availability. If we cannot attend, we will advise you honestly over the phone.
Why is there a fishy smell near my sockets?
A fishy or burning plastic smell often indicates that a loose connection or overloaded circuit is causing components to melt inside the socket or fuse board. Turn off the power at the consumer unit and call us immediately.
Transparent Call-Out Rates
We charge a fixed initial diagnostic fee which covers travel and the first hour of fault finding to make the installation safe. Any additional remedial work will be quoted transparently before proceeding. Out-of-hours rates may apply.
